چکیده
The performance of magnetoresistive sensors is today mainly limited by their 1/f low-frequency noise. Here, we study this noise component in vortex-based TMR sensors. We compare the level different magnetization configurations device, i.e., vortex state or uniform parallel antiparallel states. find that at least an order magnitude noisier than Nevertheless, activating spin-transfer-induced dynamics configuration, observe a reduction noise, close to values measured AP state, as core has lower probability pinning into defect sites. Shearlet-Based Adaptive Noise Reduction in CT Images
The noise in reconstructed slices of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) is of unknown distribution, non-stationary, oriented and difficult to distinguish from main structural information. This requires the development of special post-processing methods based on the local statistical evaluation of the noise component. This paper presents an adaptive method of reducing noise in CT images employing th...
متن کاملCircular Mean Filtering For Textures Noise Reduction
In this paper, a special preprocessing operations (filter) is proposed to decrease the effects of noise of textures. This filter using average of circular neighbor points (Cmean) to reduce noise effect. Comparing this filter with other average filters such as square mean filter and square median filter indicates that it provides more noise reduction and increases the classification accuracy...
متن کاملNoise Reduction for CFA Image Sensors Exploiting HVS Behaviour
This paper presents a spatial noise reduction technique designed to work on CFA (Color Filtering Array) data acquired by CCD/CMOS image sensors. The overall processing preserves image details using some heuristics related to the HVS (Human Visual System); estimates of local texture degree and noise levels are computed to regulate the filter smoothing capability. Experimental results confirm the...
متن کاملAn efficient technique for the reduction of wavelength noise in resonance-based integrated photonic sensors.
A systematic study of the limit of detection (LOD) in resonance-based silicon photonic lab-on-chip sensors is presented. The effects of the noise, temperature fluctuations, and the fundamental thermodynamic limit of the resonator are studied. Wavelength noise is identified as the dominant source of noise, and an efficient technique for suppressing this noise is presented. A large ensemble of st...
متن کاملBLAME-BASED NOISE REDUCTION: AN ALTERNATIVE PERSPECTIVE ON NOISE REDUCTION FOR LAZY LEARNING Blame-Based Noise Reduction: An Alternative Perspective on Noise Reduction for Lazy Learning∗
In this paper we present a new perspective on noise reduction for nearest-neighbour classifiers. Classic noise reduction algorithms such as Repeated Edited Nearest Neighbour remove cases from the training set if they are misclassified by their nearest neighbours in a leave-one-out cross validation. In the approach presented here, cases are identified for deletion based on their propensity to ca...
